I like my shoes. Brown and sneaker-like. They’re new and soft. I like them just fine.
When they walk, they roll. The laces are perfectly flat, as the nose of each shoe pokes out from the cuff of my pants. I like them.

It’s a good way to start a day, that’s what Jack thought.
He took a deep breath, straightened his back and walked brighter into the morning with an easier grip on his backpack.
Sunshine poked through the many maple leaves of the roadway’s trees. The air was crisp with the smell of spring. A light breeze nipped Jack’s ears, but a hint in the air foretold of a warm, pleasant day.
Birds were tweeting their hearts out, parents drove with importance and all Jack could do was smile in stride.

Damn lazy journalists
So,
Will you live with this pain
The rest of your life?
Umm,
I suppose so …
The Times reports:
“Mary Jane expressed sadness
That for the rest of her
Life
She will be reminded
Of this pain
This hurt
This injustice,
Did I mention for the rest
of her life?”

In the beginning...
Sweet chubby cheeks
Eyes searching for the
Sound
A smile meets
The brief lock of eyes
Before she turns away
It’s your dad, Charlotte
I love you

Before she turns away
It’s your dad, Charlotte
I love you
It's a good time - no matter what she says
Whiskey bottles and
Beer cans
Reflect the stains
Smeared across
The red tank top
Of Sal
Sandpaper-faced and stinky
Sal
Ain’t no woman
Gonna keep him down
He’ll do as he
Pleases
Have no one judge his
Squeezes
Scratches
Laughs
Coughs
And anything else
He pleases

love buzz
When my love
stopped her singing
tears filled my cup
When my love
lost her feeling
the covers were pulled up
When my love
questioned me
Red words ran free
When my love
stopped talking
so fell the buzzing bee
stopped her singing
tears filled my cup
When my love
lost her feeling
the covers were pulled up
When my love
questioned me
Red words ran free
When my love
stopped talking
so fell the buzzing bee
